General Maintenance Worker

Job Details

Established for the purpose of providing maintenance services as needed and/or as assigned; assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities; assisting skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are maintained in good working order and are available on the job site when needed.
Essential Functions
  • Clean buildings and ground areas as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of providing an effective working environment, preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure:
  • Service, clean and supply restrooms.
  • Gather and empty all the trash.
  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners and sponges.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
  • Dust, sweep, mop, and scrub kitchen counters, floors, microwaves and refrigerators.
  • Assists skilled maintenance workers with projects (e.g. transporting and/or securing materials, completing specific tasks, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Coordinate with skilled tradesmen and/or assigned supervisor(s) for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
  • Paint line: hang and wash individual pieces and push them into the oven until they are ready to be transported.
  • Transport a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at the job site.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
